Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our custom 3D printing service.

Ordering & Uploads

Do I need an account to place an order?
No! We support Guest Checkout. You can upload your file, get a quote, and pay without creating an account. However, your cart is saved to your browser session, so if you switch devices before paying, you might lose your cart items.
What file formats do you accept?
We accept .STL, .OBJ, .GLB, .GLTF, .3MF, .STEP and .STP files. Please ensure your file is under 50MB. If you have a larger file, please contact us directly.
How is the price calculated?
We measure your model and price it automatically. For SLS, the price of a part comes from:
  • Weight: Your model's solid volume, in grams. This is what you are charged per gram.
  • Size: The longest edge of your part decides which size band it falls into, and each band has its own rate per gram. A large, hollow part takes up more of the build chamber than its weight alone suggests.
  • Order weight: The heavier the total of the SLS parts in your order, the better the rate per gram, at published thresholds. The discount applies to everything in the order, not just the part that crossed the threshold.
On top of the parts, an order carries a one-off setup charge and a small processing charge for each part after the first. Both are itemised in your cart, and you can open the price breakdown on any quote to see exactly how the total was reached.
What payment methods do you accept?
We securely accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe. We do not store your card details on our servers.
Is my intellectual property safe?
Yes. We only use your files to manufacture your specific order. We do not share, sell, or distribute your models, and we do not use them to train machine-learning models. We keep a file only as long as we need it, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

Materials & Quality

Which print method should I choose?
  • FDM (coming soon): Best for large, functional parts, prototyping, and brackets. It has visible layer lines but is strong and cost-effective.
  • SLA (Resin, coming soon): Best for miniatures, jewelry, and high-detail figures. It has a smooth surface finish but can be more brittle than FDM parts.
  • SLS: Best for durable, end-use parts and complex geometry. It needs no support structures, so interlocking and enclosed shapes print cleanly, with a slightly grainy matte finish.
Will my print have layer lines?
FDM (PLA) prints will have visible layer lines (usually 0.2mm height). This is normal for 3D printing.
Resin prints have almost invisible layer lines and appear smooth to the naked eye.
What are the maximum build dimensions?
Currently, our maximum build volume is:
SLS: 165mm x 165mm x 300mm
FDM (coming soon): 400mm x 400mm x 400mm
Resin (SLA, coming soon): 192mm x 120mm x 200mm
Models larger than this will need to be scaled down or cut into pieces.

Shipping & Support

How long will it take to get my order?
Most orders are printed within 2-4 business days. Shipping times depend on your location but typically take an additional 3-5 business days. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships.
My item arrived broken. What do I do?
Please take a photo of the damaged item and the packaging immediately. Email us at info@inseralabs.com within 7 days of delivery, and we will reprint and ship a replacement free of charge.
Can I cancel my order?
Because every item is custom-made, you can only cancel your order within 12 hours of placing it. Once printing has started, we cannot accept cancellations.
